There are a few things to remember when organising a band for your wedding. We also included a few hot tips that we have picked up over the years that you might find interesting!

Where will the band be set up?

Some venues have a designated location. Some give you preference. We recommend making sure there is a power point for us and enough room to dance for you!

Who is the MC?

We find often things travel much smoother with someone in charge of guiding your guests between formalities. They don’t have to be a professional speaker, in fact some of the best MC’s we have seen are close family members. You are welcome to use our PA for announcements of course.

When will the band be playing?

Would you like relaxed covers over canapés or do you want to save the band exclusively for the dance floor! We recommend a bit of both, but it is up to you. Of course we are always flexible on the day as we are aware some relatives don’t appreciate time limits on their speeches! And fair enough!

Do my wedding suppliers need to arrive prior to the ceremony or reception?

In some cases you may not want the band to load in at a particular time. If your ceremony is on or close to the reception site for example, it is worth discussing this with your suppliers to make sure everyone is aware.

Will the band be performing any special songs?

Our standard reception hire includes a song request. We find couples often use this for their first dance but it is your choice! We also encourage you to give us a list of artists you both like so we can learn some of your favourites.

Will the band use their own playlist for set breaks?

We have playlists that we use between sets but we also have connectivity for you to use your own playlist or even send us a Spotify link.
